elio.media is the personal website of Elio Scarton in Victoria, Australia. For privacy questions, access or correction requests, or a complaint, use the contact form.

What I collect

If you enquire, I collect your name, email address, any organisation you include, your subject and your message. If you join the newsletter, I collect your email address and whether you have confirmed it. The site may also receive technical information needed to serve a request and protect forms from spam.

Why I use it

I use enquiry details to read and respond to your message, discuss possible work and keep a record of the conversation. I use newsletter details to send occasional notes only after you confirm your address. I use technical data to operate and secure the site.

How it is held and shared

Form information is stored in the website database on a DigitalOcean server in Sydney, Australia, and can be accessed by the site administrator. DigitalOcean and its service providers may process technical information under their own privacy terms. I do not sell your details. Newsletter email and third-party booking tools are not active at launch; this policy will be updated with their providers and any overseas processing before they are enabled.

Cookies and analytics

Forms use cookies and tokens needed for basic security, including CSRF protection. This public site does not currently run third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

Access, correction and complaints

Contact me to ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of information I hold about you. I will consider the request and reply within a reasonable time. If you have a privacy concern, tell me what happened so I can investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner ↗.
